Hello
I'chiliad new in this forum and so if i'm not at the right place to ask my question only tell me
I'g building a house in my game, and i wanted to practice something, only i don't know if information technology's possible, and if it is, how i can get in..
I would like to place a tripwire and hook right later my entrance. When people step on information technology, some redstone lamps get on and stay plough on for a while. (if it'south possible, until someone pace on the tripwire again..?)
If this is as well much, is it possible to use the tripwire and claw and make it last longer than usual even if i'm not on information technology?
I can use any other "switch" as well
P.South : I'm french, so my english is not so good xD sorry if information technology's too hard to understand

It may exist possible, but would accept a lot of time and effort making one unless you lot know exactly what you lot're doing.

Sounds like you just demand a simple toggle switch, not sure the technical term for it.
I'm looking on youtube for a tutral on one but they all seem outdated and overly large...

I recommend you the RsNor Latch... what information technology does is, it activates the restone curcuit connected to the latch (which would so activate the res stone lamps) when you press a push, walk over tripwire, etc etc, and then it de-activates information technology if y'all printing the push again or walk over the tripwire again.
For instance, lets say you place the rsnor latch (with restone of coarse). When you go in your firm and stride on the tripwire, the lamps will go on, AND STAY ON, as long as y'all dont walk over the tripwire again. One time you exercise walk over the tripwire once more, the lamps will plough off.
I would post a picture upwardly for y'all of an rsnor Latch simply im just besides damn lazy for that... Search it on Google or Youtube and skilful luck mate

its very easy merely expect on youtube or minecraft wiki and you volition find a redstone gate called the nand gate that is what you use

Remember the blue wool is the INPUT, or where you run redstone wire TO, while the red is the OUTPUT, or where you lot run it FROM to your redstone lamps.
Only make the Tripwire claw (with string placed appropriately and a hook on the other end) be on a block (maybe a cake in your wall) with Redstone placed on the other side that runs to the blue cake in the T Flip Flop (without touching any other wiring from information technology) and accept a redstone wire come out of the output (the ruddy wool cake) to the redstone lamps. Every 15 blocks of redstone wire, place a repeater to continue the power.
Also, it doesn't have to be blue/red/black wool, it can be any total block (non like half slabs or anything) that carries a redstone ability (like, as in not glass or leaves). Basically, a full block mobs can spawn on.
Edit: Also, apply regular pistons, not gummy pistons. An RS Nor Latch/SR Logic Gate/RS or RS Memory Cell/any the heck you want to call information technology (nigh people call information technology an RS NOR Latch or Prepare Reset Memory Cell) would simply complicate things further, then employ a T Flip Flop like I told yous. You might want to lookup "Redstone for Dummies" or something on Youtube (no criminal offense, information technology'south basically but beginner'south redstone) for started tutorials. I believe Helm Sparklez has a proficient one, and Etho'south invention tutorials may teach you something.
